Well.....every DJ knows to tailor their selections to the crowd. However, a party isn't just about bodies dancing, its about mood, breaking the ice, connecting, and just having fun with each other!
Everyone has different tastes, yes. But anyone who has DJ'd weddings, and other sorts of mixed parties, knows there are some songs/selections that just cross all boundaries and tastes/preferences...............and just get the party started!!!
Jive Bunny & the Mastermixers are the party mood-makers!!!
This one isn't Jive Bunny, but it is also good.....
And if the party isn't started (with singing or dancing or being silly) with any of those.....then please get these people checked out or into a morgue....BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO FREAKIN' PULSE!!!! :)

Hey Rob....its ok! :) Remember that parties are subjective. Its about spending time with some folks and having fun. There is no prescription for what a party should be or what a party should look like. It can be small or large.....anywhere from 2 people to 200 people! (or more) There doesn't have to be dancing or alcohol...its about spending some fun times with friends. Some of my best parties are just sitting around the table with a few folks, eating, talking and laughing all night. Other times, we play board games or poker or watch a movie. The whole point is to have fun...and it doesn't have to to be lavish or a big shindig. I actually prefer smaller parties where you can connect with everyone.
I love dancing so these are some great songs that create a great mood for a party that has dancing. You don't have to conform to what other people like... or with what you think you should like or be like......just go with what you like and also keep an open mind!
Yeah, I'm not much of a connector- really- pretty hermit-y, I guess. None of my friends live anywhere near me, so it's sort of tough to get together, even if I were inclined to. But you're so right about doing whaever is fun - yes- there's no official "party" definition!
